Before Abby left for college, we cleaned out her bedroom closet, and found a number of formal dresses that she had worn to various high school events, including the beautiful pink gown that she wore to her junior prom (see picture above). As you can imagine, this brought back many wonderful memories of this special high school event. It is a night that most girls look forward to their entire life. We had heard about some organizations (in other cities) that collect and distribute prom dresses, free of charge, to girls who might otherwise be unable to attend their high school prom due to the cost of a dress, etc. When we were unable to find this type of organization in the Portland area, we created our own!! We are very excited to think that another young girl will have the opportunity to wear and enjoy Abby's beautiful pink prom dress for one of the most memorable nights of her life.
