2006 Prom Boutique

The Prom Boutique was held April 8th-9th, 2006 at the Oregon Convention Center. Here is a quick summary of this year's event:

1,600 beautiful prom gowns

2 exciting days at the Oregon Convention Center

90 cheerful, helpful volunteers

700+ very happy high school girls

One magical night. The music. The dancing. The memories. The dress…..

Thank you for helping make girls’ prom dreams come true! This year’s Prom Boutique was a huge success. Over 700 high school girls from all over Oregon and Washington shopped at the largest prom dress closet in Oregon on April 8 and 9. This event would not have happened without the help and generosity of so many people. Thanks to everyone who donated gowns, organized dress drives, collected donations for us, did pick-ups and drop-offs, prepared the donations (sorting, tagging, repairing, etc.) and advertised this program to others. We especially want to thank those of you who volunteered at the Prom Boutique (helping with set-up and take-down, check-in and check-out, the personal shopping assistants who worked directly with the girls, etc.). As the girls left the Prom Boutique, they were invited to share their comments with us. Here is a sampling:

"Thank you so much. This is just like Cinderella! Every little (and big) girl’s dream!"

"Thanks so much. Everyone was so nice. I love my dress!"

"EEEE!!! I’m sooo HAPPY!"

"This was a great opportunity for me – my senior prom is going to ROCK! Thank you so much!"

"What a fabulous idea! I wasn’t going to go to prom because I didn’t have a dress…Thank you!"

"Thank you so much! This is the happiest day of my life. I finally get to have a dress that’s my own!"

"Dude this was amazing. Thank you so much. And I give mad props to whoever thought of this."

"Thank you so much. This was really fun! Way better than having to argue with my parents!"

"Your comments and special attention made me feel so special! Thank you!"
