Abby’s Closet has been proud to offer our Dreams Scholarship since 2011 to applicants who best embody the spirit and mission of the organization. To date, 38 scholarships have been awarded totaling $62,000.

Applications are now closed for the 2024 scholarships. Thank you to everyone who applied.

The 2025 Dreams Scholarships application will be available in early 2025.

LILLY FREEMAN

Monroe High School, Monroe, OR

TRADE SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP: Lilly Freeman is a senior at Monroe High School. She plans to attend Northwest College of Beauty to earn her license to become a hairstylist and an esthetician and then hopes to open her own salon. In her free time, Lilly shadows local hair stylists. She said she loves bringing joy to people by providing beauty services to them. During high school she has volunteered with the Oregon Humane Society, Bloomers Country Nursery, and keeping stats for the wrestling team. Lilly has been on the Honor Roll and received an AVID award her sophomore and junior years.

STEPHANIE HERNANDEZ GARCIA

Tigard River High School, Tigard, OR

4-YEAR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP: Stephanie Hernandez Garcia is a senior at Tigard High School and will be the first in her family to graduate with honors and attend a four-year university. After high school she plans to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Boise State University and become a labor and delivery nurse. She is active in Intercambio, which is an after school mentoring program to assist eighth grade students with emotional, academic, social support, as they transition into high school. She also works with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through Everybody Athletics. She is a member of First Tech Robotics, Tigard HS Book Club, Service Club, HOSA, Latino Network, and the treasurer of MEChA. Outside of school, Stephanie enjoys working on her truck and spending time at the gym. 

HAILEY MORESCHINI

Waldport High School, Waldport, OR

COMMUNITY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP: Hailey Moreschini is a senior at Waldport High School and plans to attend Oregon Coast Community College in the fall to pursue a nursing degree. She has been taking community college courses while attending high school in order to complete prerequisites for a nursing degree and has been on both her high school and the community college President’s List and Honor Roll. She hopes to go on to become a doctor after completing her nursing degree. Hailey is active in her school’s symphonic band, jazz band, and pep band. Outside of school, she volunteers as a card maker for local hospital patients.


AVA WATSON

Shorecrest High School, Shoreline, WA

ELAINE A. DAVIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Ava Watson attends Shorecrest High School and is also enrolled as a Shoreline CC Running Start student. She plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Public Health and then attend medical school and become a physician practicing in underserved communities. Ava has participated in a variety of extracurricular activities including serving on leadership of two school clubs (YWIB and HOSA), president of Pink Polka Dots Junior Guild at Seattle Children’s Hospital, being a member of the King County Youth Action team, a captain of her high school volleyball team, and a COPE Junior Health Scholar at Swedish Hospital. She is especially interested in how medicine and social justice issues intersect, and finding solutions from an interdisciplinary lens. In her free time, Ava enjoys hiking and exploring the Pacific Northwest and getting coffee with her friends.
